Welcome. Let’s Talk About Women’s Health and the Realities Behind It

I’ve spent more than two decades caring for women through some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives. Along the way, I’ve learned that what happens outside the exam room often matters just as much as what happens inside it.

I’m starting this space because there are conversations in women’s health, and in medicine more broadly, that don’t fit neatly into a 15-minute visit or a social media post.

This is a place to slow down.

Here, I’ll write thoughtfully and honestly about women’s health across the lifespan, including perimenopause and menopause, evidence-based care, and the growing impact of medical misinformation. I’ll also explore the realities of practicing medicine today, primarily as a woman in OB-GYN, because the system that delivers care deeply affects the care patients receive.

My goal is not to alarm or to sell. It’s to provide context. To replace fear with clarity. And to empower patients with information grounded in science, experience, and nuance.

This space is for patients who want thoughtful, grounded information.
For clinicians navigating a changing profession.
And for anyone who believes women deserve care rooted in respect, transparency, and truth.

A few important boundaries: this space won’t replace medical care, and it won’t offer individualized medical advice. Instead, it will provide perspective – something increasingly complex to find in a world optimized for speed rather than understanding.

Medicine is evolving. Women’s health is evolving. And the way we talk about both needs room to evolve as well.

I’m glad you’re here.
